# XH-H02: The hang watchdog is off (/docs/xhlds/codes/xh-h02)

On the console:

```text
[XH-H02] Hang watchdog off: -nocrashreport
```

**Printed:** at start-up, when the hang watchdog cannot run (Linux).

The server will not notice when it is stuck (no frames, see XH-H01): no report, no restart. The line says why: [`-nocrashreport`](/docs/xhlds/launch-options#-nocrashreport) on the command line (the watchdog is part of crash reports), crash reports could not start (the line before it says why, often the `xhlds/crashes` directory), its threads could not start, or a hang report from before a `_restart` was still being written (the watchdog is back after the next full restart of the server process). [`xhlds_hang_report`](/docs/xhlds/settings#xhlds_hang_report) and [`xhlds_hang_restart`](/docs/xhlds/settings#xhlds_hang_restart) still exist but do nothing.

**Is it a problem?** Only if you want stuck servers reported and restarted.

**What to do:** remove [`-nocrashreport`](/docs/xhlds/launch-options#-nocrashreport), or fix what the crash report line says.

## On the server [#on-the-server]

[`xhlds_explain XH-H02`](/docs/xhlds/commands#xhlds_explain) prints this explanation on the server console, also over rcon.
