# XH-T03: A player timed out in game (/docs/xhlds/codes/xh-t03)

**Printed:** with the engine's `<player> timed out`, [`xhlds_datagram_warnings`](/docs/xhlds/settings#xhlds_datagram_warnings) 1 or 2.

The player was in the game and their game stopped answering for `sv_timeout` seconds: it froze, crashed, was closed without disconnecting, or lost its connection.

**Is it a problem?** One player now and then: no, and it usually has nothing to do with the server. Many players at the same moment point at the server's network, or at a server that stopped for a while: check [`xhlds_stats`](/docs/xhlds/commands#xhlds_stats) (late frames) and the host's network at that time.

## On the server [#on-the-server]

[`xhlds_explain XH-T03`](/docs/xhlds/commands#xhlds_explain) prints this explanation on the server console, also over rcon.
