Use the SVG wherever you can. The PNGs have a transparent background, except the square icon.

Using the logo

Please don't
- Don't stretch or squash it. Scale it with its proportions locked.
- Don't recolour it. Use white on dark backgrounds and black on light ones.
- Don't add shadows, glows, outlines or gradients.
- Don't rotate or tilt it.
- Don't put it on a busy photo. Use a plain dark or light background.
- Don't retype the name in another font in place of the logo.

Our site is dark and almost colourless. Amber appears only for live state, such as a full server.

How to write our names
Upstreamr, our status page product, has its own brand. Its name and logo are on its site. upstreamr.com (external site, opens in a new tab)
- Hostsrc
- Capital H, the rest lower case, in running text. The logo sets it all in lower case. Not HostSrc or HostSRC.
- Optymous
- Our game panel, which runs control.hostsrc.com. It started as a fork of Pterodactyl.
- xHLDS
- Lower-case x, then HLDS in capitals. Our fork of ReHLDS, the CS 1.6 server.
- Counter-Strike 1.6
- Write it in full the first time, then CS 1.6.
- ReHLDS
- The open-source server xHLDS is built on. Credit it when you describe xHLDS.
- Pterodactyl
- The open-source panel Optymous started from.

Hostsrc hosts Counter-Strike 1.6 servers in Frankfurt or Bucharest. It is the brand of CLOUDWEB LAYER S.R.L., a company in Bucharest, Romania, and its network is AS203942. NeoServer.ro started in 2020. In 2025 its founder sold it to a former team member, who carries it on as Hostsrc.
Hostsrc also builds the software around its servers. Optymous is its game panel: it started as a fork of Pterodactyl and runs control.hostsrc.com. xHLDS is its fork of ReHLDS, the CS 1.6 dedicated server. New Hostsrc CS 1.6 servers install with xHLDS, and a paid licence covers servers hosted elsewhere.
