What each location runs
Each fleet is a group of identical nodes in one city. Specs are the manufacturer's, scores are PassMark'sFootnote 1.
- NVMe on every node
- DDoS filtering on every plan

Single-thread speed matters most
CS 1.6 runs each server on one CPU thread, so a faster core fits more work into every server frame. Look at the single-thread score.
More cores don't make one server faster
They let a node run more servers. Your plan sets your server's CPU priority.
Ping depends on distance
Pick the city closest to your players. Each one is on the map.

CPU priority by plan
Every plan shares its node's CPU. When servers want the same CPU thread at the same moment, its time is split by weight: 1 for Essential, 2 for Performance and 4 for Premium.
Essential
Standard priority
For MIX, CW, lighter plugins and smaller communities watching the budget.
Performance
High priority
For Public, Respawn, Furien, HNS and moderately to heavily modified servers.
Premium
Highest priority
For plugin-dense and high-load configurations.
Any plan, €30 per core per month
Dedicated cores
A whole physical core, both threads, that no other customer's server shares. Move to it, and back, without a restart.
When the node is quiet, every server uses what it needs, up to 2 CPU threads.
Compare CS 1.6 plansQuestions about our hardware
It depends on the location you pick and the node your server lands on. Frankfurt nodes run the AMD EPYC 4585PX or the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. Bucharest nodes run the Intel Core i9-9900K. If you need a specific CPU, write to office@hostsrc.com before you order.
Not on every node yet. It is enforced on our EPYC 4585PX nodes in Frankfurt and Core i9-9900K nodes in Bucharest. Our Ryzen 7 5800X nodes in Frankfurt don't enforce it yet. Their kernel ignores CPU priority, so every plan gets the same CPU treatment there. If priority matters for your server, write to office@hostsrc.com before you order.
A fast CPU core, above all. A CS 1.6 server runs the game on one thread, so the speed of one core decides how much work fits in each server frame. More cores let a node host more servers; they don't make one server faster.
From PassMark, a third party. Each score is the average PassMark publishes for that CPU on cpubenchmark.net, and each CPU on this page links to its own PassMark page. We didn't measure them, and your server's speed also depends on its plan, plugins, maps and players.
Your browser sends a few small requests to a node of each fleet and the page shows the middle result. A city's figure is the lowest of its fleets. It times only the network round trip, so it is close to your in-game ping but can differ a little. The page doesn't store your results.
No. Frankfurt servers are filtered by OVH and Bucharest servers by Voxility. DDoS filtering is included on every plan and reduces the impact of attacks, but no filter makes a server immune. The filtering for the new Frankfurt nodes will be listed when they go live. If your server is often a target, write to office@hostsrc.com before you order.
They are coming to Frankfurt soon. We don't give a date yet; this page changes when they take servers.
No. Cores, threads, clocks and cache are the manufacturers' specifications. How fast your server runs also depends on its plan, plugins, maps and players.
